ITALY: Venice
Italy has produced some of the most well-known artists all throughout history. Italian culture places a great emphasis on the arts and Venice is unquestionably one of the most beautiful and unique cities in the world. It has attracted artists since its origin in the fifth century. Among its notable attractions are the Basilica of San Marco and the Grand Canal, lined with architectural wonders from Byzantine to Renaissance periods.

THE ART ACADEMY
The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica brings together an international community of artists, teachers and students in an exchange of technical and critical ideas in the visual arts.

A non-refundable $20 application fee must be included with the application. Cash or a check, made payable to SUNY Cortland, are both acceptable forms of payment.

Travel Information Flight booked by participant. Travel planning, coordination and assistance provided by the Knowledge Exchange Institute.

The program price includes tuition and academic fees at the host university abroad, housing, comprehensive medical and travel insurance, predeparture guides and advising, Onsite Director and support, airport welcome, program orientation, cultural excursions and use of a mobile telephone.

Accommodations Students live in furnished apartments in central Venice. Each apartment has a shared living area, bathroom and kitchen. Bedrooms are double occupancy.
Program Notes This program is a cooperative effort between SUNY Cortland and the Knowledge Exchange Institute (KEI). KEI provides logistical and student services, including predeparture guides and advising, on-site support (airport welcome, orientation, supervision, etc.), pre-registration for courses at the host university, housing arrangements, cultural excursions, medical and travel insurance, and mobile telephone. SUNY students must follow the SUNY Cortland application process. All fees, including application fee and program fee, must be paid to SUNY Cortland.
