INDIA: Pune
Often referred to as the Oxford of the East, Pune is best known as the educational capital of India with more than 100 institutes and universities, but Pune has so much more to offer. It's history, friendly people and wide range of social and cultural activities are sure to keep you engaged.
Pune dates back to 937 A.D. and marks significant historical milestones in India's history. Prominent social reformers, political leaders and educators have lived in Pune. Today it is a modern city with cinemas, discos, shopping malls, pubs, coffee shops and cafes catering to local and university populations.
THE UNIVERSITY
Symbiosis International University is one of India's leading educational institutions. The university consists of 17 colleges, centers and schools spread across 17 campuses, most of which are located in Pune.

Spring: $7,950 Summer: $4,950 Summer with Internship: $5,950 The program price includes tuition and academic fees at the host university abroad, housing, campus meal plan, comprehensive medical and travel insurance, predeparture guides and advising, Onsite Director and support, airport welcome, program orientation, cultural excursions and use of a mobile telephone. Students must factor in additional costs such as college fees, airfare, visa, personal expenses, etc. A program budget with estimated total costs is available at the Clark Center for International Education at SUNY Cortland. |

| Accommodations | Students live in the university residence hall on campus. Bedrooms are double occupancy with shared common areas. Students are typically roomed with an Indian student or other international student. Rooms are fully furnished. Meal plans are available for purchase in the university cafeteria. |
| Program Notes | This program is a cooperative effort between SUNY Cortland and the Knowledge Exchange Institute (KEI). KEI provides logistical and student services, including predeparture guides and advising, on-site support (airport welcome, orientation, supervision, etc.), pre-registration for courses at the host university, housing arrangements, cultural excursions, medical and travel insurance, and mobile telephone. SUNY students must follow the SUNY Cortland application process. All fees, including application fee and program fee, must be paid to SUNY Cortland. |
